This bud vase is inspired by the beauty of the morning sunrise, and the opportunity that each one brings to begin anew.
The design was made by pressing a stamp into the clay in repeated arcs to represent the sun, followed by applying slip (liquid clay) to make the rays shining upward.
The stamped area is finished with red iron oxide, a lovely contrast with the blue glaze above.
Glazed with clear inside.
