Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order ship?

Typically, your order will ship within 2-3 days of being placed, unless otherwise noted. I do try to ship earlier in the week (M-W) and at times, orders placed late in the week will not ship until Monday. Contact me if you have specific needs regarding shipping.

You’ll receive an email the day your order ships that includes the carrier and tracking information.

What shipping options do you offer?

At the checkout, you’ll choose the option “domestic shipping.
I have estimated the shipping cost based on weight and size and will choose the lowest cost shipping option, regardless of the carrier.
For lightweight items under 16 oz it will likely ship USPS Ground Advantage (previously called First Class Package Service). This is low-cost but will take a few extra days than Priority Mail.
For all other packages over one pound, I will use either UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage (previously Parcel Select) or Priority Mail, whichever is most economical.

Based on years of experience, I’ve done my best to estimate the shipping costs, which also includes packing materials, time, and fuel. If it turns out I was in error I will refund you any overages.

IF YOU ARE LOCAL, I will ship your order unless you’d like to arrange a meeting to pick up your order in Albuquerque or otherwise if we can agree on a place. When that happens, I will refund the shipping charges.

Do you ship Internationally?

At this time, I am not shipping outside of the United States. However, if you see something you really fall in love with, please reach out to me with an email and start a conversation and we’ll see if we can work something out.

What type of packaging do you use?

I aim to use recycled or eco friendly materials in my packaging. I use a combination of materials that are available to me, including recycled boxes, paper, and bubble wrap. I only use bubble wrap, plastic, and regular packing peanuts that are second hand, not newly purchased. I also use compostable eco-beans. My main goal is to get your items to you safely while using second hand materials and/or materials that are able to be reused or recycled. I have over 10 years experience successfully and safely shipping ceramics.

Is your work food safe?

Yes.

All of the transparent glazes, such as clear and celadons, have been specifically formulated to “fit” with the porcelain clay body. Thus, creating wares that are durable, as well as resistant to cracking and chipping. For long term care, handwashing is recommended. Use in the microwave is acceptable, but beware your piece may get hot to the touch.

I do have a few specialty crystalline type glazes that have luminous colors of aqua, turquoise, and blue. These glazes are reserved only for the “GEO” dishes. They have a fine network of lines, called crazing, that are not visible to the eye. However, if you chose to set a teabag or something of that nature in the dish, it may indeed stain the lines, exposing them and changing the look of the piece over time.

Do you take returns?

I truly hope that you are more than happy with your purchase. If, for any reason, this is not the case, please contact me directly via email within 7 days and we will start the return process. All packing and shipping costs will be your responsibility. All items must be returned in original condition within 14 days of original delivery in order to qualify for a refund. Once item/s are received in good condition, a refund will be issued.

Do you take commissions?

No.

Can you make something like what I bought years ago?

No. My work is ever-changing. From time to time I do revisit some of my old designs, but they will be different surely, as I am not the same. Work from before 2016 especially cannot be made, as I was using different clay bodies, glazes, and firing than what I currently use.

Do you wholesale?

Yes, I do offer wholesale for a few select items at this time. Contact me directly to inquire.
